Meet your script doctor

I'm Dr Christine Davey, and my journey in writing spans three decades, encompassing playwriting, screenwriting, journalism, and fiction. My plays have graced stages across Australia, the US, and the UK, and been published by Currency Press and Australian Plays Transform. I've been honoured with awards including the Wal Cherry Award, the Wheeler Centre Fellowship, Bundanon Fellowship, and the Malthouse Mentorship, and my articles have appeared in publications such as the Times, the Age, the Australian, and the Big Issue. With a Masters and PhD in performance writing and teaching at the University of Melbourne, I combine academic rigour with real-world creative experience. I am also the founder and Artistic Director of independent, female and disability-led theatre company - Skin of our Teeth Productions.
